Plastic Surgeon Mr Paul Wilson grew up in Yorkshire before completing degrees in both Medicine and Dental Surgery from the Universities of Leicester and Liverpool respectively.
He initially trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and was made a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons.
Paul went on to train in General Surgery, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2000. He then went on to specialise in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery completing his Higher Surgical Training in the Southwest Region.
Paul was appointed Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Frenchay Hospital, Bristol in 2010.
Within the NHS he is the lead surgeon for sarcoma surgery, in particular reconstruction following cancer. He is also a specialist head and neck surgeon with expertise in oculoplastic surgery and Facial palsy. Mr Wilson also specialises in body contouring surgery following massive weight loss.
Mr Wilson is a full member of British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), the British Association of Head and Neck Oncologists(BAHNO), the European Head and Neck Society(EHNS) and the British Sarcoma Group(BSG). He is on the GMC’s specialist register for Plastic Surgery.
