High-Definition Liposuction (HD Lipo) has the WOW factor in creating an athletic, sculpted body. It helps to flatter your natural features. It can sculpt them in a way that exposes your existing muscle tone and detail, improving the shape, symmetry and form of the body. It results in this remarkable naturally athletic looking result – but it’s still all you.

Three levels of definition are available – basic, moderate and extreme. In order to achieve artistic harmony the right level of definition must be chosen to be in keeping with the overall physique of the patient. All three levels of definition are achievable in males but basic and moderate definition are usually more appropriate for females.

HD Lipo is the revolutionary technique created by Dr. Alfredo Hoyos, recognized worldwide as the gold standard in body contouring. This groundbreaking methodology combines exceptional anatomical precision with a unique artistic vision, allowing the natural musculature of the body to be revealed through strategic fat extraction and precise contour modelling.

Liposuction is not a weight-loss solution or a substitute for a healthy diet and exercise. It is a body contouring procedure designed to remove stubborn, localised pockets of fat that persist despite weight-loss efforts. To achieve the best results in HD Lipo, you must already have the underlying musculature: the liposuction simply helps uncover your existing physique.

Why Choose a Total Definer for HD Lipo?

Using a Total Definer surgeon for HD Lipo offers several advantages over standard or even basic VASER liposuction:

Safety Standards: At Wood MediSpa we use real-time ultrasound guidance during surgery to improve accuracy and patient safety.

Artistic Precision: Using the Total Definer protocols, our surgeons treat the body as a 3D canvas, using light and shadow to etch natural muscle architecture. Fat is not just removed, but sculpted to highlight the underlying musculature, such as abdominal six-packs or defined pectoral muscles.

Anatomical Mastery: The training emphasises a non-negotiable respect for human anatomy, ensuring that the results look like they were achieved through rigorous diet and exercise rather than with surgical assistance.

Advanced Technologies: VASER ultrasound technology is used to liquify fat cells selectively, which preserves vital tissues like blood vessels and nerves for a smoother result.

Comprehensive Post-Care: We use specialised post-operative protocols and compression garments designed to minimise swelling and ensure the newly sculpted contours heal properly.

Liposculpture for Men

The goal for male patients is typically a chiseled, athletic V-taper that emphasises strength and muscle mass.

Male fat is generally denser and more fibrous than female fat stores. Total Definer surgeons use specific ultrasonic energy levels to break through this tougher tissue without damaging the underlying muscle.

Our surgeons remove small, targeted layers of fat to highlight the grooves of the rectus abdominis (six-pack) and the obliques using abdominal etching techniques.

High-definition techniques are used to define the lower and lateral borders of the chest to create a flat, masculine appearance for pectoral enhancement.

Fat is often re-injected into muscle group areas (such as the deltoids, biceps, and calves) to add bulk and projection for muscular fat grafting.

Liposculpture for Women

For female patients, the focus shifts to softness, symmetry, and curvaceousness, emphasising an hourglass silhouette.

Female skin is typically thinner and less elastic than male skin, surgeons use a softer approach with the ultrasound energy (Renuvion or Quantum) to ensure smooth retraction and avoid irregularities.

Instead of a six-pack, surgeons often aim for a subtle vertical definition (the linea alba and linea semilunaris) to create a toned, athletic look that remains feminine and in proportion to the rest of the body. In some very athletic and lean patients, it is possible to give definition to the female 6-pack.

Techniques are used to aggressively slim the waist while using fat transfer to “round” the hips and enhance the buttocks. The female back is sculpted to create smooth transitions rather than the rounded muscle volume sought by men.
